Alejandro specializes in Asylum Law and Deportation Defense. He represents non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings on Immigration Court and before The Board of Immigration Appeals. Additionally he works with clients on a wide array of immigration matters, including appearances at USCIS and ICE.
Prior to joining Kerosky, Purves & Bogue, Alejandro worked in Shanghai, China and in Latin America in development banking and international cooperation. Alejandro has a Master of Laws degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Berkeley Law). He has a Master of International Laws degree from Shanghai University of Finance & Economics. He obtained his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Laws degree from the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho, Costa Rica. He speaks English, Spanish and conversational Chinese. Alejandro is licensed to practice law in California and in his native Costa Rica.
