Ney Montenegro is an Associate Attorney at Kerosky, Purves & Bogue LLP. He was born in Ecuador and migrated to the United States at a young age. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Lincoln Law School of San Jose. During law school, Mr. Montenegro received Academic Excellence Awards in Criminal Law and Moot Court (Best Oral Argument). After his first year in law school, the Dean invited him to participate in the Lincoln Law Review as an Assistant Editor and he later became the Assistant Editor-in-Chief. He also participated in the Lincoln Intellectual Property Clinic and received limited recognition to practice before the USPTO in Trademark matters. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Montenegro served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Socrates Manoukian, a law clerk in the felony team at the Santa Clara Public Defender’s Office, and a pupil at The Honorable William A. Ingram American Inn of Court. Between work and family life, he volunteers at immigration clinics and citizenship workshops around the Bay Area. Mr. Montenegro is admitted to practice law in California and he is fluent in English and Spanish.
