Michelle is an Associate Attorney at Kerosky, Purves & Bogue, LLP. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she completed her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Puerto Rico, School of Law. While in law school, she studied abroad in Belgium at the University of Antwerp, where she earned a certificate in International and European Legal Studies. She also spent time as a legal intern at the Chicago Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, where she worked on a broad range of civil right issues, including voting rights, housing discrimination and employment discrimination. During law school, she interned at the Ricky Martin Foundation, where she conducted legal research on human trafficking as part of a multidisciplinary investigation and worked on public policy issues regarding human trafficking in Puerto Rico. She is also a member of the American Bar Association - Young Lawyer’s Division. Michelle is fluent in English and Spanish.
